Lego HQ is moving to Boston

The LEGO Group has announced on Tuesday that it will be relocating its head office for the Americas from Connecticut to Boston, as the company is planning for its future.  The LEGO Group is still in the process of identifying a new office space in central Boston for its relocated headquarters.

The LEGO Group, a toy company with around 2,600 employees in the U.S, has announced plans to move its Americas head office from Enfield, Connecticut to Boston by the end of 2026. The company has been based in Enfield since 1975.

According to Skip Kodak, President of the LEGO Group in the Americas, in a written release, “Boston is an ideal location for our US head office because it is one of the best cities in the world to attract and retain talent, it has world-class academic institutions, a skilled workforce, and a great quality of life. We have exciting plans for the next phase of growth and hope we can retain many of our current team, as well as attract new colleagues.”

The LEGO Group plans to offer jobs in Boston to the 740 employees working full-time at its Enfield location. For those who choose not to relocate, the company will provide financial and job placement assistance.
